An incredibly simple, minimalistic sketch, yet on reflection and further study, showing so much,
Almost with a typical sense of Lowry humour.
Having been sold in two thousand and eleven (ten years ago), this drawing has appreciated considerably over the time,
and woul d possibly, if for sale today in a gallery, be ten times the price.
Unfortunately the market is awash with small sketches purporting to be drawn by Lowry,and due to his simplistic style, it is at first glance an easy task to replicate this type of sketck.
This is why it is so absolutely important to have a undisputable provenance that proves it is most definately by L.S. Lowry
