A remarkably detailed Victorian style painting, beautifully capturing the light of the fire and the atmosphere.
Posing for the painting is David's wife Avril, and one of his daughters
not forgetting the main focus, the bearded collie dog, who is keenly awaiting any crumbs or biscuits that are genorously donated.
The small and inconsequential items laid around the room add particular interest,
the fire blower on the wall, a porariat of Muffin the dog,
some toys on the mantlepiece, nd a teddy bear taking a well earned rest,
even the tea towel drying in front of the fire has its place in the painting.
