Unfortunately, many donkeys have been badly treated throughout their lives.
in some areas they are used as a means of transport for people and goods.
Weighed down with goods they are barely able to carry, they are forced to walk long distances over rough terrain
Most donkeys in the UK have fairly fortunate lives, by comparison.
We all remember the donkeys giving children rides up and down the beach in summer.
