This one of David's early paintings, he would often take his easel, canvas and brushes to this area, and has produced many originals in the vicinity.
Some of which have been published as prints.
On a Sunday he would often join the group of artists who would display and sell their work on the railings by Green Park,
Quite close to Shepherd street which is just a few streets to the north in Mayfiar.
Much has changed over the last sixty years, but many of the buildings remain and it is not difficult to see where David was painting.
