Shibam, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is known for its distinct architecture.
Shibam is often called "the oldest skyscraper city in the world".
It is one of the oldest and best examples of urban planning based on the principle of vertical construction.
About 3,000 people still live in the city, but 28-year-old resident Ali Abdullah said lots of young people had left,
because it was difficult to rely on any income, unless the city starts being preserved again.
